As we continue exploring where NEW EARTH will take root, one truth guides everything: this project must be built on land strong enough to last, and gentle enough to welcome generations of people.
Soil was our first compass, but it is only the beginning. Now, we shift our attention to the next essential elements that shape the future of NEW EARTH.
1. Water Availability & Hydrology
A thriving village needs a reliable, sustainable water source. We study:
- underlying aquifers
- depth of wells
- long-term water table health
- natural drainage patterns
This ensures that every home, every center, and every garden will flourish without strain on the land.
2. Wind, Weather, and Natural Protection
Comfort and safety matter. Knowing the land’s wind patterns, gentle, harsh, seasonal, or swirling, helps design:
- the theater’s orientation
- outdoor spaces
- shaded paths
- natural windbreaks
- wildfire-resilient layouts
NEW EARTH should feel peaceful, not weather-exposed.
3. Access, Roads & Emergency Services
Remote is beautiful, but too remote can compromise safety. We evaluate:
- distance to paved roads
- dirt road stability
- emergency access routes
- fire department reach
- ambulance pathways
Nature and practicality must meet in harmony.
4. Wildlife & Ecological Balance
NEW EARTH will coexist gently with the land. We look at:
- wildlife corridors
- migratory paths
- protected species
- untouched natural habitats
The goal is to uplift nature, not disrupt it.
5. Community Compatibility
NEW EARTH is a gift, not a burden. We study whether the neighboring community:
- welcomes sustainable growth
- appreciates arts, music, and wellness
- has room for partnership and uplift

LAND FIRST: Why Strong Soil Matters for NEW EARTH
As we search for the future home of NEW EARTH, we’ve learned something essential: a village built to last must stand on land that can truly support it, not just beautiful landscapes, but solid, dependable ground.
Hope Remains Wide Open
Love Valley, Iredell County — strong soil and a name that feels destined for NEW EARTH.
Whether Phase 1 begins in Southern Arizona’s Pinal County, Western New Mexico’s Grant County, or Western North Carolina, the right land will reveal itself. We are no longer favoring any specific region or state, New Mexico included. The land itself decides, and stability and long-term strength come first.
Why Soil Matters So Much
Foundations matter because everything we build — homes, community buildings, and our 1,500-seat enclosed theater — relies on them.
NEW EARTH will not be built with temporary or experimental structures. It will be a place of comfort, safety, and beauty meant to endure for decades, even centuries. For that, the ground must have high bearing capacity and excellent long-term stability.
Best Ground for a Village That Lasts
Some soils are made to support a lasting community:
- Bedrock — nature’s strongest foundation
- Compacted Sand & Gravel — stable, well-draining, ready for heavy structures
- Loam — balanced mix of sand, silt, and clay; combines stability and drainage
These soils don’t swell, shrink, crack, or shift dramatically with moisture, exactly what we need for solid buildings that endure for generations.
Some soils simply aren’t suitable: clay that swells or shrinks, peat that’s soft and water-heavy, or silt prone to erosion. Foundations on these grounds can shift or settle which is why we focus on the strongest options from the start. A geotechnical engineer will test any chosen land to ensure long-term safety.
Built to Last
We’re not building a château, but we are creating something meant to endure. Historic buildings survive centuries because they were placed on solid ground with materials suited to their land. NEW EARTH deserves the same care, wisdom, and respect.

At NEW EARTH, this project belongs to everyone, which is why we want to keep you close to the process as it unfolds.
The biggest question we face is simple, but profound:
Where will NEW EARTH take root?
We’ve realized that choosing land isn’t as easy as finding sunshine and beautiful views. A project meant to serve generations needs a home with a strong, reliable foundation, literally.
To build an enclosed theater, healing center, homes, and village spaces, the soil itself must be ready to support the weight of a long-lasting community. That means careful geotechnical studies and, most importantly, the right kind of soil.
We’ve learned that loamy soil, a natural balance of sand, silt, and clay, offers the stability, drainage, and strength needed for structures built to last. This single discovery has shifted our entire search. Instead of choosing a region first, we’re letting the land guide the way.
Southern Arizona and Southwestern New Mexico were our early focus, but much of that region sits on expansive clay soils that swell when wet and shrink when dry conditions that can affect long-term foundations. Water access, wind patterns, and erosion risks also play a major role.
Meanwhile, parts of Western North Carolina feature soil series with excellent stability, including natural loamy sands formed by mountain runoff. These landscapes may offer the strong, enduring ground required for Phase 1. More details to follow.

NEW EARTH will rise where the soil, water, and landscape can fully support a village built for decades, and hopefully for a century or more. Whether that home ends up in the high desert or the Blue Ridge foothills, only time will tell.
So today, the search is no longer about preference. it’s about listening to the land itself.
Here’s what we’d like to focus on:
• 350 to over 500 acres (multiple parcels are fine)
• Open land with views
• Some slope is completely fine. The architecture can embrace the terrain.
• Natural, peaceful surroundings but not excessively remote

Acreage: Starting at 350–500+ acres, one large parcel or multiple in the same area, with room for housing, recreation, and future community expansion.
Terrain: Mostly flat, with room for buildings, trails, and future growth.
Surroundings: Peaceful, natural beauty with trees or open wilderness, not near rivers, mines, or volcanic zones.
Access: Easy to reach by road (condition not an issue).
Purpose: A humanitarian project offering free programs, festivals, and creative spaces open to all.
Location: Southern Arizona preferred, also open to Western North Carolina and Western New Mexico.
Funding: Once ready, the purchase will be direct and uncomplicated — no loans required.
