Humanitarian projects
are created to improve lives and strengthen communities. They bring people together to build opportunities, meaningful work, and environments that support long‑term well‑being. Below are answers to common questions about how these projects begin, how they are supported, and how NEW EARTH brings this vision to life.

Q: WHAT IS A HUMANITARIAN PROJECT?

A:
Humanitarian projects are initiatives created by people to benefit people and communities. They may focus on culture, education, technology, services, or infrastructure, as long as their purpose is centered on improving lives, strengthening communities, and creating meaningful opportunities for those who wish to contribute to the greater good.

It’s important to understand that the term “humanitarian” simply means beneficial to humanity, supporting well‑being, shared prosperity, and positive development for all involved. It describes the purpose, not whether a project is profit‑based or nonprofit. In the context of NEW EARTH, it means building a space where the prosperity of the individual and the harmony of the community are one and the same.

Q: DO HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS ONLY RESPOND TO DISASTERS?

A: No. While many humanitarian efforts provide vital emergency relief, others, like NEW EARTH, are long‑term, "proactive" initiatives. Our mission is not about responding to a crisis, but about building a sustainable, joyful foundation for the future.

We focus on inspiring and supporting communities through the arts, healing, and multi-generational connection. We believe that by creating environments of peace and creativity now, we are providing the most meaningful service possible to humanity’s long-term well-being.

Q: HOW DO PROJECTS START?

A: Every project begins with a simple, heart-centered vision: How can we help this community blossom? It starts with a deep period of listening and observation to understand the unique spirit of the land and its people.

Once the vision is clear, we move into practical collaboration. We ask essential questions to ensure the project is sustainable and respectful:

  • Connection: How can this project serve the real, felt needs of our neighbors?
  • Stewardship: How do we honor the land and its history through our location and design?
  • Purpose: Who will benefit, and how do we ensure the impact is multi-generational?
  • Sustainability: How will the project be built and maintained to thrive for decades to come?
  • Collaboration: Who are the local visionaries and stewards who will help guide and support this journey?

Q: WHO OWNS A HUMANITARIAN PROJECT?

A: Humanitarian projects are not built for personal ownership or private profit; they are built for stewardship. While NEW EARTH,  is guided by dedicated leadership to ensure the vision remains steady and built to last, the project itself belongs to the mission of community well-being. It is a collaborative initiative where we all act as co-creators. We contribute our skills and resources to ensure the land and the hamlet remain a legacy of service, a "living asset" that belongs to the future and the people it serves.

Q: WHO STARTED NEW EARTH?

A: NEW EARTH emerged from a long‑held vision to create a space where creativity, nature, and well‑being support people of all ages. While the project was sparked by the dedication of its visionary co-creators, it is guided by a purpose larger than any one person. Today, it is a collaborative movement led by a team of dedicated individuals who contribute their guidance, effort, and expertise.

We see ourselves as the foundational stewards of this vision, ensuring that the "heart" of the project remains the focus as we grow together.

Q: WILL HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS CREATE JOBS AND HOUSING?

A: Yes. Thoughtfully designed projects like the NEW EARTH Hamlet are intended to generate meaningful opportunities. Our focus is on creating work that honors a person’s skills and passion, particularly in the arts, healing, and community service.

Any housing or shared spaces we create are designed to be in harmony with the land, serving as a sanctuary for those who live and work within the hamlet while contributing to the overall stability and well-being of the surrounding area. We believe that when people have a beautiful place to live and purposeful work to do, the whole community thrives.

Q: WHY ARE HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS IMPORTANT?

A: Humanitarian projects are vital because they provide a blueprint for a more compassionate way of living. By combining clear vision with heart-centered planning, they create a lasting impact that goes beyond simple infrastructure. These projects are essential because they create a place where everyone is heard and seen.

They strengthen the fabric of society by inspiring collaboration and demonstrating what is possible when we work together for the greater good. They act as "lighthouses," showing how we can build environments that honor the earth and each other, ensuring a meaningful legacy for future generations.

Q: WHO FUNDS THE PROJECTS? ARE LOCAL COMMUNITIES OR TAXES PAYING FOR THEM?

A: NEW EARTH is supported by private humanitarian funding and does not rely on government taxes, public grants, or local community funds. Our intention is to remain independent of corporate or political influence, ensuring that the project stays true to its mission of service.

By utilizing private resources dedicated to humanitarian progress, we can focus entirely on creating a flourishing environment that benefits the surrounding area without placing any financial burden on its residents. It is a gift of opportunity, created to show that when resources are aligned with a shared purpose, everyone prospers.

In Harmony and Service, humanitarian projects like NEW EARTH are created to remind us that when people come together with shared purpose, communities can flourish in ways that benefit everyone. We are specifically dedicated to supporting local small businesses, from our neighborhood farmers and artisans to the local innkeepers and shops. We believe in a "circular" abundance; by bringing people together to celebrate the arts, we also shine a light on the local treasures that make this region so special. Together, we are creating a ripple effect of growth and well-being that extends far beyond our gates.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF AN EVENT IS CANCELED OR POSTPONED?

A: Life is a flow, and occasionally, travel shifts or unforeseen changes mean a performer cannot join us as planned. While we understand this can be a surprise, at NEW EARTH, we believe that every change is an invitation to discover something new.

Because the Hamlet is a living, breathing sanctuary, the experience never stops. If a specific performance is postponed, there is always a wealth of other music, art, and wellness offerings to explore. Often, these moments allow a new artist to step into the light or give you the space to discover a hidden corner of our trails and gardens. You’ll find that here, there is no such thing as "empty time", only new opportunities to connect and enjoy.

Q: WHAT CAN WE BRING INSIDE THE AMPHITHEATER?

A: Just bring your good vibes and the people you love, family, friends, neighbors! Try not to bring too much stuff, so you can relax and have fun. No outside food or drinks allowed, but feel free to bring a hiking water bottle to stay refreshed.

Q: WHAT SHOULD I LEAVE AT HOME?

A: To maintain a high-vibration, safe, and family-friendly environment for everyone, we ask that you leave the following items behind. Think of it as "packing light" to leave more room for good vibes!

  • Substances: Please, no cannabis, drugs, or alcohol. We aim for a natural "high" fueled by music and community.
  • Tobacco & Vaping: Our sanctuary is a breath of fresh air, literally. Smoking and vaping are not permitted.
  • Visual & Audio Integrity: Professional recording gear, laptops, drones, selfie sticks, and signs can block the view or the flow. Let’s keep the focus on the stage and the moment.
  • Space & Safety: To ensure everyone has a clear view and plenty of room, please leave umbrellas, tents, wagons, and bulky outdoor games at home.
  • Peace & Quiet: We love the roar of the music, but not the roar of engines. Please leave loud motorcycles or trucks outside the main hamlet area.
  • General Safety: For the peace of the community, weapons of any kind, fireworks, glass containers, and laser pointers are strictly prohibited.

NEW EARTH is a space for presence. By leaving the "matrix" distractions behind, you help us create a truly special experience for everyone. Please note that we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items, so bring only what you need and enjoy the freedom!

Please Note:  NEW EARTH festivals and events are intentionally alcohol- and drug-free, creating a clear space for all ages to gather, connect, and celebrate. These guidelines are simply here to keep our community safe and the energy high, not to be a buzzkill!

COMMUNITY AGREEMENT: PROTECTING THE LIGHT

Treat Each Other with Kindness: NEW EARTH is a space for connection, creation, and inspiration. We invite you to move through the grounds with kindness and respect for those around you. Please keep aisles and views clear so that everyone can share in the magic of the performance.

Room to Breathe: There is plenty of space in our sanctuary to stretch, move, and soak in the joy of the day. We encourage you to explore the paths and gardens to find your own perfect rhythm.

Honoring the Vibe: We are here to uplift, not to disrupt. Disrespectful or unsafe behavior—toward people, animals, or the land—will not be tolerated. To protect the peace of our "Humanitarian Hamlet," anyone who chooses not to follow these guidelines may be asked to leave the premises.

Together, we create an environment where everyone can feel safe, seen, and ready to smile.
